Machinist
Perform intricate and close tolerance machining in low quantities
of small, advanced precision components using CNC equipment
(mills and lathes).
Must be proficient in the setup and operation of all CNC equipment.
Must be proficient in G- code and interactive programming,
engineering drawing interpretation, and the mathematics required
to perform the most advanced CNC operations.
The position involves the simultaneous operation of multiple
machines.
- Experience should include knowledge of Fanuc and Okuma
controls.
- Must possess the ability to use a wide variety of measuring
devices to inspect components produced, as well as manufactured
by other employees and outside vendors.
- May be required to assist in the assembly of intricate
components using various techniques (fastening, bonding,
soldering, welding, etc).
- Also may be required to provide technical expertise to
aid in the design of Fischione products and train other employees.
- Will be expected to develop and document manufacturing
processes and procedures to facilitate effective and efficient
production of various components.
Must have a demonstrated proficiency in all other job classifications
through one of, or a combination of the following: ten years
experience in a machine shop performing the tasks outlined
in the job description, successful completion of a Pennsylvania
Certified machinist apprenticeship plus five years additional
experience, or any other company accepted criteria. Should
also display skills in verbal communication, technical drawing,
and organization. Must possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
Candidates must have their own tools. This is a full-time position
in a clean, air-conditioned, modern facility. Overtime is required.

Mechanical Designer/Drafter
Generates and revises 3-dimensional models, detail and assembly drawings, BOMs and other manufacturing documentation for various mechanical and electromechanical scientific instruments. Primarily works in Solidworks format.
- Evaluates and verifies dimensions, tolerances, and finishes.
- Contributes ideas for solving mechanical problems related to positioning, fits, manufacturability, and cost.
- Applies GD&T.
- Receives work assignments in terms of sketches, mark-ups, or verbal descriptions of parts and assemblies.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to deadlines and willingness to work overtime as needed is required.
- Interacts with suppliers to discuss their products and capabilities.
- Supports manufacturing on miscellaneous problems related to machining and assembly.
- Solidworks experience required.
This position requires a 2-year Associates Degree in MET with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment or a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years experience.
